Reginald Albert Rowley was born on 23 November 1923, the son of Ernest and Maud Rowley. He joined the temporary wartime staff of Westminster Bank at its London Aldwych branch in December 1940.

 

In May 1943 he left the bank to go on war service, becoming a Sergeant (Pilot) in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He was killed in air operations over Germany on 24 March 1945. He was 21 years old.

 

Reginald Rowley is commemorated on a bank war memorial held at NatWest Group Archives.
