Thomas George Arthur Pritchard was born on 13 August 1922, the son of Arthur and Emily Pritchard. He joined the staff of Glyn, Mills & Co in October 1939 at its head office in Lombard Street, London.
In September 1940 Pritchard left the bank to go on war service, joining the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. The Blenheim in which Sergeant Pritchard was flying was lost over Iraq on 13 October 1942, with all three crew members missing, presumed dead. He was 20 years old.
