Ottiwell Francis Lodge was born in 1920, the son of Ottiwell Lodge, a butcher, and his wife Mary. In October 1937 he went to work for Williams Deacon's Bank at its Smithfield Market branch in Manchester.
In October 1940 Lodge left the bank to go on military service, becoming a Sergeant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He was killed in action on 9 July 1942. He was 21 years old.
Ottiwell Lodge is commemorated on a bank war memorial at Hardman Boulevard office, Manchester.
