Albert Stewart Guy was born in 1922, the son of Jessie Adrina and Albert Edward Guy. He worked for National Bank of Scotland at its branch in Stromness, Orkney.
During the Second World War Guy left the bank to go on military service, becoming a Guardsman in the Scots Guards. He was killed in action in Italy on 15 July 1944. He was 22 years old.
Albert Guy is commemorated on a bank war memorial at Gogarburn campus, Edinburgh.
