Alan James Easton was born on 29 May 1922, the son of James and Kathleen Easton. He worked for Glyn, Mills & Co at its Child & Co office.
During the Second World War Easton left the bank to go on war service, joining the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. On 20 December 1942, Sergeant Easton's Lancaster was lost while taking part in a raid over Germany and he was killed. He was 20 years old.
