Thomas Alan Davies was born on 15 October 1923, the son of Thomas and Ella Gertrude Davies. He joined the temporary wartime staff of Westminster Bank in February 1940, working at the bank's Hale branch. 

He later left the bank to go on war service, and by 1946 was a Lieutenant in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. He died on 11 September 1946. He was 22 years old.
