Ronald Charles Davey was born on 28 October 1922, the son of John Charles and Catherine Cummins Davey. He joined the temporary wartime staff of Westminster Bank at its Hungerford branch in June 1940.
He later left the bank to go on war service, becoming a Signalman in the Royal Corps of Signalmen. He died near Chittagong, India (now Bangladesh) on 19 February 1943. He was 20 years old.
Ronald Davey is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Newbury branch.
