Anthony Frederick Bulgin was born in Watford, Hertfordshire on 6 May 1922, the son of Augusta and Frederick Bulgin. He worked for Coutts & Co, London.
In September 1940 Bulgin left the bank to go on military service, volunteering for air-crew duties with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. In May 1941 he was awarded his wings and promoted to Sergeant Pilot. He was drafted to the Middle East with 94 Squadron and operated over the Western Desert. Pilot Officer Bulgin was killed in a flying accident whilst returning to base on 14 December 1941. He was 19 years old.
Anthony Bulgin is commemorated on a bank memorial at Coutts & Co, London 440 Strand.
