Theodore Francis Charsley Webb was born on 3 December 1889, the son of Francis William James Webb, a solicitor's shorthand clerk. In August 1907 he went to work for The National Bank.
During the First World War Webb left his job in the bank's London banking department to join the army, serving as a Private in the Royal Fusiliers. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 21 June 1917. He was 27 years old.
Theodore Webb is commemorated on a bank war memorial at the Royal Bank of Scotland London Cavendish Square branch.
