Reginald Harold Wood was born in Bourne, Lincolnshire, in 1893. He worked for London County & Westminster Bank.
During the First World War Wood left his job at the bank's London Lombard Street branch to join the army, serving as a Private, initially in The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) and later in the London Regiment. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 13 April 1918.
Reginald Wood is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
