Percy Charles White was born in Fulham on 13 August 1897. In November 1914, when he was 17 years old, he went to work for London County & Westminster Bank.
In December 1915 White left his job as a clerk at the bank's London Acton branch to join the army, serving initially in The Buffs (East Kent Regiment), and later in the London Regiment. Private Percy Charles White was killed in action on 23 January 1917. He was 19 years old.
