Henry Bracher Wadman was born in Gillingham, Dorset, in 1894, the son of Henry John Wadman, a farmer, and his wife Rose Sarah. From about 1912 he worked for Parr's Bank.
During the First World War Wadman left his job at the bank's Castle Cary branch to join the army. Lance Corporal Henry Bracher Wadman of the Gloucestershire Regiment was killed in action on the Somme on 3 September 1916. He was 21 years old.
