Kenneth Ross Smith was born in Liverpool in 1890, the son of William Ross Smith, a chemist, and his wife Martha. In January 1908 he went to work for Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Co at its Liverpool branch.

 

In November 1915 Smith left the bank to join the army, becoming a Private in the 26th (Bankers') Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers. He died on the Somme on 18 September 1916. He was 25 years old.

Just found out he existed he was my dads uncle

My niece was doing a family tree

He was never mentioned that I can remember

So am very excited to find out his Mum & Dads name & that he worked in your Bank.
