Arthur Perris Raymond was born in Liverpool on 21 July 1886, the son of James and Julia Birchall Raymond. From about 1902 he worked for Parr's Bank.
During the First World War Raymond left his job at the bank's Liverpool branch to join the army, becoming a Private in the 26th (Bankers') Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers. He was killed in action on the Somme on 10 October 1916. He was 30 years old.
Arthur Raymond is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Liverpool City Office branch.
