Respectful thoughts go to another branch of our family who lost a young life during WWI. William Anthony Phypers - Killed in Action 17 July 1916.
Many of the Phypers family fought and survived or were killed during WWI and WWII including my own Granduncle Thomas Day Phypers - Killed in Action 4 August 1917.
William and Thomas are linked by the same ancestor by the name of Anthony Phypers born 1668 married to Anne at Long Stanton, Cambridgeshire and are, therefore, related to me.
