Frederick Harry Parker was born on 19 October 1898, the son of Frederick William Parker, a company secretary, and his wife Rosabelle. He was brought up in Merton, Surrey. In February 1916, when he was 17 years old, he went to work for The National Bank.
During the First World War Parker left his job in the secretary's department at the bank's London head office to go on military service. His death was reported to the bank on 30 August 1918.
Frederick Parker is commemorated on a bank war memorial at the Royal Bank of Scotland London Cavendish Square branch.
