Noel Jackson

Noel Bower Jackson was born on 1 June 1886, the son of John Haulton Jackson. In March 1903 he went to work for Parr's Bank at its Matlock branch. He later transferred to Alfreton branch.

 

During the First World War Jackson left the bank to go on military service, and by 1917 was a Second Lieutenant in the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He was killed in action in France on 6 December 1917. He was 31 years old and left a widow, Janetta Eliza.
