Laurence Borrie Jupp was born on 13 August 1898, the son of Harry Borrie Jupp and his wife Julia Anne. On his 17th birthday in 1915 he went to work for London County & Westminster Bank.
In February 1917 Jupp left his job as a clerk at the bank's London Lombard Street branch to go on military service. By the following year he was a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force. He died in Italy on 26 July 1918. He was 19 years old.
Laurence Jupp is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
