Percy Pool Harrison was born in Derby in 1894, the son of Abraham Harrison, a print worker, and his wife Ada. From about 1910 he worked for Parr's Bank.
During the First World War Harrison left his job at the bank's Derby Corn Market branch to join the army. By 1917 he was a Captain in the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He died on 20 October 1917 of wounds received in action in France. He was 23 years old.
Percy Harrison is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Allenton Derby branch.
