Reginald Clement Carr was born in Bath in 1896, the son of Edward Carr, a Baptist minister, and his wife Annie. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank at its Bath Old Bank branch.
During the First World War Carr joined the army, serving as a Private in the Devonshire Regiment. He died in Belgium on 26 October 1917. He was 21 years old.
Reginald Carr is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.

Thank you so much for commemorating Reginald Carr. He was a great great uncle of mine. Reginald Carr also had a brother Bertram Carr killed in Oct of 1917 in the War. His parents lost 2 sons within a month.
