Percy Clement Christian was born on the Isle of Man on 14 April 1893, the only child of Richard Herbert Christian and his wife Jessie Maud. He worked for Parr's Bank.
During the First World War Christian left his job at the bank's Birkenhead branch to join the army, serving as a Sapper in the Royal Engineers. He died on 9 November 1919, while posted to the Signal Section Training Centre in Bedford. He was 26 years old.
Percy Christian is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Birkenhead Charing Cross branch.
